Grzegorz Klimarczyk
The Bossless Company
Originally "Firma bez szefa" · published in Polish
How a business experiment in self-management grew into a model generating over PLN 20 million in revenue a year.
Instead of restating general theories about teal organisations, Grzegorz Klimarczyk documents the real evolution of OpenNexus. It is the record of a shift away from classic, centralised control - which at some point becomes the bottleneck holding growth back - towards a fully autonomous structure capable of generating profit on its own.

What the experts say
For me, "The Bossless Company" is the best book on teal organisations I have read since Frederic Laloux's "Reinventing Organizations".
Prof. Andrzej Blikle
Author of "Doktryna jakości" (The Doctrine of Quality)
I am hugely impressed - this will be genuinely important reading for any company that wants to move towards self-management. If Frederic Laloux's book is the romantic take on teal that starts it all, this one is an absolute must-read.
Piotr Jabłonowski
CEO and Co-founder of Octolize
The author's openness and candour deserve recognition, including on financial matters such as building the pay system.

Architect of the transformation
Grzegorz Klimarczyk
Co-founder of OpenNexus, a practitioner of self-management and organisational change. He has travelled the whole road from a classic, controlling manager to a leader who builds genuinely autonomous teams.
His company of just under 40 people, run entirely by the team on the model they worked out together, reached over PLN 20 million in revenue and PLN 6 million in net profit in 2025.
By the end of 2028 he plans to step away from running the company operationally altogether, leaving it fully self-steering. He is now turning what he has learned into a doctoral dissertation, to help Polish entrepreneurs leave hierarchical structures behind safely.
